Unfortunately, the forum is unable to cover transportation costs for the participants, but because we are keen to involve our target audience, especially university students and groups, we encourage you to contact us via this contact form  for possible solutions.

Hotel / sleepover / accommodation, can you help provide accommodation?

The forum does not provide accommodations for the participants.

Is participation free?

Participation is free and open to all.

Can I participate in a workshop?

Of course, participation in workshops is open to those who wish to do so, and we kindly ask you to register by choosing the workshop that you would like to participate in from here.

What is the 7amleh?

7amleh – The Arab Center for the Advancement of Social Media was established in 2016 and works since then to enable Palestinian and Arab civil society to practice digital advocacy through focusing its projects and initiatives in three main areas/pillars: training civil society organizations, grassroots and youth movements, male and female activists in all areas in Palestine to strengthen skills in new media, online campaigns, improving their digital presence and digital security, advocacy: by focusing on advocating the protection of digital rights as human rights, including the right to Internet access, digital safety and privacy, freedom of expression and opinion, freedom of association and organization in digital networks, through advocating in a group of forums, publications and coalitions in which 7amleh participates. The center has recently initiated to form the Palestinian Digital Rights Coalition within its endeavors to instill complementary efforts at work in this field, and campaigns by planning and managing advocacy and awareness campaigns for community based organizations and frameworks on various issues that intersect with 7amleh work.

Can I participate in the activities of the forum?

Of course, the forum is an open space in which students, activists, legal experts, media professionals, technicians, and workers in civil society, local and international human rights and media organizations can participate. If you want to participate, please register here.

Where is the conference held?

The events of the conference will last for a full week in the West Bank, the Palestinian Community inside Israel and the Gaza Strip. The forum will start its first day in a launching conference in Ramallah, and on its second day, the event will be moved to both the Gaza Strip and the Palestinian community inside Israel. On the third and fourth day, a number of workshops, events / electronic lectures and round tables will be held.

Can you issue permits to enable us participate in the conference?

7amleh Center does not issue permits to its participants, however we broadcast our events live on social media platforms.

What is the Palestine Forum for Digital Activism?

A space where activists, legal experts, media professionals, academics, civil society institutions, local and international media and human rights institutions meet, and a group of major social media companies to discuss digital rights and freedoms. The Palestine Forum for Digital Activism is one of the most important pillars that 7amleh center works on an annual basis through which it aims to provide a platform to discuss the challenges that Palestinian civil society faces to protect Palestinian digital rights and digital activists working on the Palestinian cause in a positive and constructive manner. It also aims at providing a space for exchanging different experiences and expertise in order to develop Social media activity inside and outside Palestine. It should also help in dealing with the serious challenges and threats facing digital activists locally, and linking the work of local grassroots organizations and movements with their international counterparts with the aim of benefiting from experiences and cooperation to find solutions to the dilemmas they face.
