7amleh – the Arab Center for the Advancement of Social Media, was keen to expand its work and instill decentralization in decision-making. Thus, it sought to engage a group of academics, researchers, activists, and workers in the technology sector, digital rights and civil society to plan and prepare for the Palestine Forum for Digital Activism 2020, until the forum was materialized in its current form.

7amleh’s concern to involve individuals from different sectors would definitely enrich the forum with new ideas and transfer the experiences of the preparatory committee, their institutions’, and the fields they work in to the Palestine Forum for Digital Activism. This in turn will contribute to the forum’s openness to various institutions especially that the field of digital rights recently merged in Palestine.
